SensIQ contact

Anti-trap protection with contact strips

The finger protection profile SensIQ contact reacts when it comes into contact with persons or objects. An electrical contact strip on the leading edge in bus and train doors generates a switching pulse on contact. Doors in the process of closing reverse automatically. The system even detects anti-trap situations when doors have closed and causes them to open again.
In addition to SensIQ contact with its electrical contact strip, there is also a version for buses that works with integrated pressure wave chambers. On contact, the chambers are compressed, generating an air wave that reaches a membrane switch via the system tubing. This in turn generates an impulse that opens the doors immediately.

Finger protection profiles for buses

Profiles with an electric safety contact edge

  1. Anti-trap protection effective directly on the door's leading edge
  2. Drag detection in the case of closed doors
    (trapped people/objects can be detected)

  3. Suitable for straight, curved and angled doors
  4. A maintenance-free system with function monitoring

How it works: A connection is established when the safety contact edge comes into contact with a person or object. This creates an electrical switching pulse that causes the door to reverse.

Profiles with pressure wave technology

  1. Anti-trap protection effective directly on the door's leading edge
  2. Suitable for straight, curved and angled doors
How it works: When touched by people or objects, the pressure wave chambers are compressed. The air volume that escapes through a tube is fed into a membrane switch, which creates an electrical switching pulse that causes the door to reverse.
