Facts and figures at a glance 

Gummi-Welz GmbH und Co.KG was founded by Hans Welz in 1945 and was run as a family company by his daughter and son-in-law until mid-2006

In June 2006, Equimax AG took over the company as part of its succession planning and gradually developed it into a modern and efficient supplier with an international clientele.

In January 2008, Gummi-Welz GmbH & Co. KG moved from its site in Magirusstrasse in the German city of Ulm to its new production and administration facilities on the Schweighofen industrial site in Neu-Ulm, which are perfectly suited to the company’s manufacturing processes. It also established a Gummi-Welz site in Turkey.

Gummi-Welz GmbH & Co. KG now has production sites in Germany, Poland and Turkey. At the beginning of 2014, Plastocell Kunststoff GmbH from Schifferstadt, Germany, joined the GWU Group.
